Opium Regulations for Formosa passed by the
Consultation Board of the Government of Formosa are
herewith promulgated under the sanction of His-
Majesty the Emperor.

Opium Regulations for Formosa.
Article I. The term Opium used in these Regu-
lations includes raw, refined and powdered opium.
Article II. Refined and powdered opium shall
be sold by the Government. The importation and manu-
facture of opium or any medicine containing opium as
an ingredient and prepared so as to produce the same
effect as refined opium is prohibited, also their
purchase or sale, delivery to or receipt from another
or possession without obtaining a special license.
Article III. Prepared opium shall be specially
permitted to be bought and smoked by only those who
are
